The Race Discipleship Pathway
Discover your race. Run with freedom. Finish well.
A practical discipleship pathway for individuals, small groups, churches, and ministry leaders, built around the biblical description of the Christian life as a race.
“Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us.” — Hebrews 12:1
What Is The Race Discipleship Pathway?
The Race Discipleship Pathway is a practical process for helping people discover the race God has set before them, remove the weights and sins that hinder them, run with endurance, and finish well. It is built around The Race and its Spiritual Exercises, but it is more than a book. It provides a framework that individuals, small groups, churches, and ministry leaders can use for intentional discipleship.
The pathway follows the structure of The Race:
Part 1 — On Your Mark: Discover Your Race
Discover the race God has set before you and understand His purpose and direction for your life.
Part 2 — Go: Run With Freedom
Identify and remove the weights, sins, wounds, and strongholds that hinder you from running your race with freedom.
Part 3 — The Drive to the Finish Line: Finish Well
Run with endurance, develop Christlike character, fulfill your calling, and finish the race God has given you.
How Do You Use the Pathway?
The Pathway can be used in several ways. Individuals can work through The Race and complete the Spiritual Exercises on their own. Small groups can read, discuss, and work through the material together. Churches and ministry leaders can use the Pathway for discipleship classes, retreats, seminars, mentoring, and leadership development.
The Spiritual Exercises are available as downloadable worksheets, so participants can use them whether they have a paperback, an ebook, or are participating in a group where the material is being taught.
